Situado en el centro histórico y monumental de Villaviciosa se encuentra ubicado en uno de los edificios más emblemáticos de Villaviciosa, la Casa del Arcediano o de la Fábrica, que fuera fábrica de chocolate y más tarde hojalatería de D. Andrés Miravalles Miranda hasta su demolición en 1921. En su lugar y reutilizando la piedra del edificio anterior, D. Corripio González construyó la mansión de indianos con la estructura actual. Tuvo varios usos, como Casa de España, durante un tiempo Ayuntamiento, Biblioteca, Guardería. En 1995 el edificio es totalmente restaurado con el propósito de albergar el actual Hotel Casa España.
